Program Overview and Agenda

Tuesday, November 4

Collective members arrive to New York by Tuesday, November 4th. Our official programming begins early on Wednesday morning. Participants are greeted to the retreat with a welcome drink and dinner. It is the opportunity to set the tone for the days ahead and to connect as a community.

Wednesday, November 5

Our days start early. Each morning begins at Gleason’s Gym with the ritual of wrapping your hands and preparing for the training sessions. Our first intensive will focus on the basics of boxing, embodiment and regulation. Two hour boxing lessons are followed by facilitated integration and debrief sessions where the techniques learned are applied to the skills we need to fight for the vision of our careers and lives that we want to win.

Following a hosted lunch, we will have another training session, learning a new set of skills with a corresponding debrief. After rest and relaxation, we will attend the theater to see one of New York’s premier dance companies move as we consider our second theme of the retreat: grace.

Thursday, November 6

Our morning starts once again with our ritual of preparing for the intensive sessions to follow. You’ll learn to wrap your hands and prepare for what’s to come. Here we will begin to learn the principles of the fight. You’ll learn to breathe and defend. You’ll learn to take a hit. We will end our morning with our intimate debrief session. Following our afternoon sessions, we will come together as a community for an evening dinner at one of New York’s most beautiful dining experiences.

Friday, November 7

Our retreat concludes with lessons in fight strategy. How do you create the circumstances where you don’t just win, but you are able to stop the fighting? In the afternoon, we’ll come together for a restorative integration day at one of New York’s wellness spas and conclude our week.
